Ereader for my 64 year old mother

I am looking for an ereader for the technology impaired. I let my mother try my Kindle 3 and it is to complex for her. She does not know how to select the book she wants to read....only turn pages and read it. She tried my cousin's B&N Nook eink model and same thing....to complex. Is there a simple ereader for her? I would be side loading books on it for her and managing it for her....she would just be reading from it. Her eyes are fine so a huge screen is not needed. Thanks for the help.

I'm 66, and just bought a Kobo Touch - so far, so good. I should think that with 5 books to select from at any one time, she could read happily until you visit to change her selection.

How will she cope with recharging the battery?

she was plugging the Kindle into the cable which was plugged into the computer. You know how they have those basic cell phones and remotes and such? I am looking for that in an ereader for her. She loves to read.

Not sure what to recommend. My 66 year old dad loves his Kindle 3 and my 79 year old upstairs neighbor loves her Kindle also. If you are going to be sideloading and managing it for her then just a minute on how to select the book to read? I do agree that the split screen of the nook was difficult ... I didn't like it at all (but that was 2 years ago?)

The simplest ones I can think of are Kobo Touch and nook simple touch, though I can't give you firsthand advice on them because I own neither.

The Sony x50 line has a very straightforward user interface. Even for a non-techie!

Although Kobo Touch is good in many ways the user interface is not very intuitive for someone who is not used to electronic devices.

I have never heard of anyone saying a Kindle was too complex. My 70 year old mother uses a DXG without a problem. Each individual is different...

If the K3 is too difficult for her to use, I seriously doubt that any other e-reader is going to work for your Mom.
