Group work
Hello all.
I work in a research group. We have a lot of articles and e-prints. At the moment access to the library organized as follows. A team member puts a book and a brief description (including the necessary tags) in the shared directory. Periodically, the moderator (whose computer is running as a server Calibre) checks this directory and edits the database of books. Everything works. But it is difficult to edit custom tags (you should to ask the moderator). It would be convenient to organize group work in Calibre. For example to make access control to web-based interface. And then to add at least edit custom tags. I think, this feature will be usefull for users. Is it possible to add this functionality? Thanks in advance, Denis. |

As far as I know, multi-user support and possibly edits via the content server interface are somewhere on the TODO list. I believe the database interface is currently being rewritten to allow these features, when that's done, they'll probably get implemented soon.
