Anticipating books

Have you read books by any authors that you have really look forward to their next book?

There are two authors that I have been anxiously awaiting the next installment in their series: Andy Mc Dermott (http://www.andy-mcdermott.com/index.html) and Michael R. Hicks (http://authormichaelhicks.com/) and I am starting a new series that hopefully will be as good as the other two authors, the Star Crusaders series by Michael G. Thomas (http://www.goodreads.com/author/list...chael_G_Thomas)

I'm anticipating my copy of Found in the Street by Patricia Highsmith. It's the last of hers that I haven't read. I ordered it - had to order a hard cover - more than two months ago, though Amazon keep apologising to me for failing to fill the order as yet.

There are books I am waiting for in-- available in the UK but not here yet. One of the biggies is Blood of Angels by Michael Marshall. It's smack in the middle of the series and not available in the US!

Also waiting for next southern vampire novel. Only two left in the series....

On August 8th Cold Vengeance by Lincoln Child and Douglas Preston is released. It's the eleventh in the Agent Pendergast series and the second in the Helen Pendergast sub-series.

Elfhome by Wen Spencer is released in March 2012. Her last book was released... 2007. I think. It is worth the wait, though. Since her books are really good

I suppose at the moment I am anticipating the continuation of A Discovery of Witches with the way that book was left with nothing resolved. Unfortunately Deborah Harkness keeps pushing the projected release date for the next book further and further into the future, sometime in 2012 now. So I anticipate by the time that that book is available I will have lost interest.

There are two:
- Robin Hobb's third book of Rain Wilds Chronicles series
- Gail Carriger's fourth book of the Parasol Protectorate series

Both are scheduled to be out next year!

Vikram Seth and Rohinton Mistry are pretty high on my list of authors I stalk the release lists for. I also usually scan for Douglas Coupland titles.
