![]() ![]() Can someone please help me. I got my Kobo a few months ago and was told to download Calibre. I did and foudn it really easy to use and to get books onto my kobo. Today I plug my kobo in via usb and when I open Calibre I get an error message of this : Error Communicating with Device The details are as follows: database disk image is malformed Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 81, in run File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 332, in _books File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 249, in books DatabaseError: database disk image is malformed I am going on a big holiday int eh next couple of days and really want to get some books onto my Kobo. I have rebooted my kobo, reinstalled the kobo program as well and deleted calibre and re downloaded. Can some one please help me ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No idea how to fix that, sorry, but you CAN open up your Kobo as a storage device in Windows (Start->Computer) and drag-and-drop the books you want on it.

Do what JD suggests - it is easy and always works. Simply pick up the .epub from the calibre library in explorer and copy it to the top level directory on your kobo. I started doing this when my KT and calibre stopped playing nicely - and now it is the only way I transfer books (or use the content server instead)

Someone else had this same problem a couple of days ago and the suggestion was a factory reset.
