How can I tell if book is lendable?
I know the answer for books that I own, but how can I tell if a book I am thinking of buying is lendable? In some cases, this may make a difference as to whether or not I choose to purchase the title, since my fiance and I each have a Kindle tied to our own Amazon accounts.

Here is the page at Amazon that explains how lending works. Hopefully it will answer all of your questions.

Would it not make more sense for you and your fiancée to have your Kindles registered to the same account? That way you could share all your books.

Buy a third kindle and start a "our" account and buy books on it that you would both read.

I'm not sure. I'm thinking about it, at least. There's not a whole lot of overlap in the stuff we read, usually, so I'm not sure if it's worth the downsides to do so or not yet. When we set them up, I didn't know that was a possibility or was even legal to do so.
