I love reading and a couple of months ago I deciced to buy an Amazon Kindle mainly to read public domain books from Project Gutenberg, read PDF filess as well as purchasing books from O'Reilly (www.oreilly.com) and Amazon.

I thought about buying an iPad but decided to get the Kindle for many reasons - passive display which can be read in broad daylight, long battery life,
cheaper than iPad, light, compact, and unobtrusive to use.

I will probably buy an iPad later for all the wonderful applications or maybe an iPhone but so far I love the Kindle!
