rooting nook sd cards unusable

so i'll root the nook color and add to it miui. after the process is done, will I be able to format the sd card and use it for storing books and whatever i want? or will it be unusable after that?

meaning, do i need two microsd's?

Once you're done, just reformat the card. You can use it for books or whatever else you want.

If the card has multiple partitions, Windows might not want to format it. In that case, just get a partition tool like EASEUS and delete all or all but one partition.
