Ellora's Cave, a well know erotica romance book publisher, is set to launch a new eReader in September:

I think this will be a niche device for fans of their books. They have a number of devoted fans who visit their site to buy books (their 3rd party bookstore prices tend to be higher.) They have a convention every year, and also have a presence at the annual Romantic Times convention, so they do have a large following. I can see it doing okay with their fans. I'm curious what the price will be.

I agree with SAO. I think it may find a niche with many of the romance readers. My bet is that Romantic Times Magazine will advertise it too & that should help. BUT so many of the women & men who read romance have been using Kindles. So it will take a lot of advertising to overcome the Kindle's advantage.

I think that you all may be right - but I do like the fact that the reader is supposed to be completely open to begin with. If the hardware is good enough, could be as good as a rooted nook?

The article asked about "vibration" but didn't verify that the device can be used one-handed?

From what I heard others say elsewhere, it doesn't have wifi. If that's true, that limits the device.
