Hey guys
I'm just starting on Calibre, but right away I noticed that it's the best cross-plataform ebook manager out there. And this is just great for a freeware with a developers base all around the world supporting it, with plugins and etc ! ![]() I'm having a doubt though. I have read several topics on this, and I know pdf isn't the best supported format on Calibre. So, whats the best format for printing an no-drm'ed mobi file ? (Windows plataform) I tried PDF, and it worked almost great, except for the column size. The text takes only half of the total weight of the page (A4 paper size) leaving all the rest blank . I messed around a little bit with output formats and so(tried the tablet, but I couldn't not figure out how to solve this. Anyone got in the same situations ? (The images are working fine in this method) I tried RTF too, and the text worked just fine, but the figures went all away, so ... Am I missing something ? How you Guys print the stuff ? Cheers Dreamachine |

PDF is the best way to go. The major issue with PDF output right now (has been for some time) is it's horribly broken on OS X. I'm the one maintaing PDF output and unfortunately some time ago I switched to a Mac with OS X. So I really haven't been able to fix any bugs with it.

I've fixed a few PDF issues. Try your conversion in 0.8.19 (should be released next Friday) and see if it works better for you.

Ok, I'm Pc user, but once it's uptaded I'll try again.
So far the best results for me was using RTF mode as file type. Unfortunately, it looses most of the text formatation from the original file. Anyway, I'll try and post replies here. thanks |
