Salty Sam was tryin' to stuff Sweet Sue in a burlap sack He said, "If you don't give me the deed to your ranch I'm gonna throw you on the railroad tracks!" And then he grabbed her (and then) He tied her up (and then) He threw her on the railroad tracks (and then) A train started comin' (and then, and then...) |

Meh. I like books, but I'm not gonna feel too guilty about not finishing 100 books in a year. It's quality, not quantity One book a week at minimum is good enough for me. |

yep! I really need to update my post in the forum here though. Shelfari has me at 69 books but a couple of those were novellas so I won't count them for this challenge. I hope to finish by the end of summer. I read much more in the summer. |

I'm around where I expected to be ... about a book a week. Best of all, enjoying the reading and a rebirth of reading novels since I got the Kindle 2.

Despite a disastrous June in which I read only four books of the mindless entertainment variety, I'm still comfortably ahead.

My answer is "no". I too am tracking on GoodReads but it does not follow the "MobileRead Challenge" rules; my ticker tracker thingy is more truthful. Nine of the 21 books shown read on Goodreads are actually short stories; so in trying to follow the spirit of the 150pg rule I have counted those 9 as 3. |

Yes. I just picked the 100 book total based on what I read in the initial challenge. I have in the spirit of the challenge not been counting books under 150 pages. For me it is more about finding out how many books I typically read, something I had never really thought about. I must say that since starting participation in the two monthly book clubs here, and two more at my local library, that I am reading a greater variety of books than normal. Authors or book types I would never have looked at before. |
