Question Nice fonts for substitution?

It happens so that I have worked in DTP for some time and my friends were kind enough to set me up with several BookDesigned files that have fonts embedded.

They look really nice (especially Garamond and Century, for that "old book" feel), but unfortunately the page flip is much slower with embedded fonts, therefore I will probably decide to substitute one of the internal fonts.

Here is the question: what fonts do you use that look particularly well on the Reader (especially when they substitute the internal fonts, as I understand the metrics are important here). Could you post some pictures?

Here are the two examples, first Century, then Garamond:

Of the two samples, I prefer Century.

I'm glad this subject was brought up. I've never try to change the Reader fonts. Like Jabberwork, I'd prefer to use internal fonts for best performance. Which are the internal fonts?
