Kindle 3 / Space Problem?

Hi,

I've recently deleted all of the E-Book's from my Kindle 3, but for some reason the Kindle claims to still have 1.4gb of memory in use?

I have never put any audiobooks, etc. onto the Kindle and each of the folder's are empty when viewing them through my computer?

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Chris

Did you delete them via Explorer? Depending on how many books you've had on your device, you've probably got a ton of index files in the system folder, which is hidden by default. See this post for details how to get there.

Once in there, you can open the Search Index folder and empty it.

I'm just guessing, but you could be suffering from the Mac Trash Can convenience. If you have a Mac, plug the Kindle back into the computer, and then empty your trash can.
