Just got a nook color and want to convert my kindle books to the nook. Thanks for any advice I can find.

Good to have your company, Gracet. Try downloading the excellent and free Calibre Library software (http://www.calibre-ebook.com)). It will not only automatically store and catalogue thousands of ebooks for you, but will convert from format to format within seconds if a book isn't padlocked by DRM software.
