Kindle books from other formats

Can I translate books from various formats to the Kindle format. I tried looking at demo but couldn't tell by it.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. If you are comfortable with tinkering with software (nothing complicated in this case), then you will be able to convert non-DRM/"unprotected" files from various other formats. Just search for Calibre on this forum or Google. It will help you convert from whatever to mobi (the format used by the Kindle).

For some formats, you can send them via email to your Kindle, and Amazon will do the conversion for you.

Yes, you can with Calibre software as long as the books are DRM free. Check out the Calibre forum here at MR and you need to do a bit more research to understand DRM.

cheers

+3. Yep, indeedy. calibre is pretty much the best, one-stop-shop ebook app, for conversions between formats and general library management. But again, yes, non-DRM conversions generally.
