file name dropped after & sign

I just heard from a friend that when you import files into calibre with a & sign in it it ignores all info after the & sign is that true? or is it after a certain amount of characters.... or was that an old revision?

well i tested a file with multiple & signs in it and it works fine so..maybe it was a rumor or in an old version
