I had my STR offline overnight. This morning I turned on the wifi again, but today's NY Times didn't download. On the Classic, it was easy enough to initiate a download, but I can't seem to figure out how on the STR. Went off and on wifi again, did a power off/on.
Any suggestions welcome! TIA. |

now I'm going off the nook color's UI which is almost identicle the STR. Go to Library ->newspapers---> and in the lower left hand corner you should see a "refresh" icon (two arrows that make a circle) . If the STR has that, try tapping it.

Refresh/sync icon is in upper right hand corner of Library.

Did you verify the current issue is available to download for you? Did you go to your BN.com online account (My NOOK Library) and see what the most recent issue is?

Thanks for that tip, Scion. I just checked, and today's issue is there. I'm away from wifi at the moment, but will recheck and report ASAP!

After two v-e-r-y long calls with B&N tech support regarding my missing issue of the NY Times, the second rep finally tried to test the problem by attempting to purchase/download the NYT on her STR-- **and was not able to complete the download**.
Today was the day that Nook subscribers to the NYT (finally) got emails giving us full access to newyorktimes.com (now with ltd free access for non-subscribers). Jokes on us, I guess... ![]() I'm supposed to call B&N tech support back tomorrow. (sense of dread....) |
