Klippings Kollector Desktop Software
I saw this mentioned in the Kindle developer forum, but not here. I installed this software last night and it is what I have been looking for since I got my Kindle.
It works like this: you plug your Kindle into your PC with Klippings Kollector open. You select your My Clippings.txt file, and the software imports all of your notes and highlights. In the software the notes are displayed per book, with a detailed view of the book information, the highlight, your notes, and a field to enter further analysis for each note. From there you can assign tags, filter searches, save search results, produce reports and more. As far as I know, it is the only means available right now to extract all your notes and actually work with them. It is great for students, book club members and any other "active" readers. The website, http://www.klippingskollector.com/, has a number of tutorial videos that give you a great idea of how the software works. No, I don't work for them. I'm just so happy to have found this software and would love for it to take off and expand. Last edited by Desertway; 07-06-2011 at 04:06 PM. |
