PRS-350 Collections

I have added one additional collection (books read) to my reader & put books in it. The collection may be there for a few days but then all of a sudden disappears. No collection. Anyone have an idea why this would keep happening?

That sounds very perplexing, Pomtroll. Maybe a few more details might make it easier for someone to help you. How did you create the collection and add books? Was it manually on your ereader? By syncing with the Sony software? By calibre using tags? When the collection disappears can you think of anything you may have done recently before it happens? Like maybe connect it via USB and transfer more books to it or something like that?

I create the collection manually on the reader & add books manually from the reader to the collection. I can't think of anything I've done. I put my reader to sleep when not in use. I think I'm going to try & shut it down & see if that causes it to happen. Other than that I'm not doing anything different. I downloaded yesterday but the collection was still there after I finished.

Are you also using Calibre with Metadata Management set to Automatic? If so, anything you do manually on the reader would be automatically overwritten each time you connected to Calibre.

I did use calibre once last week. So I went & checked the metadata management. It was set at automatic. I switched it to manual. We'll see if that does the trick.Thanks.
