A simple question about the Kindle DX Keyboard

Hi, I was wondering if someone that owns a Kindle 3 DX could answer a simple question. When you are using the keyboard to write a note, is it possible to write numbers directly?

I own a Kindle 3 Wireless and I have to use Alt + Q,W,... combination to do it. I noticed that Kindle DX has numbers printed next to the letters, so they might be something like "double" buttons or not.

If you could clarify this point I'd appreciate a lot. Thank you for enlightening me about this Kindle DX feature

The only differene is, that the numbers on the DX are printed on the keyboard.
You have to press alt also on Kindle DX to write numbers.
