Notification of firmware upgrades?
Is there any means of getting an email when there is a new firmware release? Right now the only way to know if there is a new release is some digging and poking about on the Kobo eReader website or running the desktop synching app.

WiFi and Touch readers download the updates over WiFi when it is turned on. It should (probably) be only that first update that requires updates over USB. I had not used my desktop application literally in months since I got more comfortable with WiFi. Of course not everyone who buys a Touch will have WiFi...

In case you hadn't noticed 1.9.5 is now available (wasn't when you posted last night) . It would be a good idea for them to have an e-mail notice or something though.

I yanked my husband's Kobo WiFi from him this morning so I could transfer some books onto it in preparation for going on holiday. It has never been updated. Never. Well, not until this morning .
