Never thought I'd succumb

But I did. Sony Pocket Reader did it. I saw a friend's, picked it up, and that was that. Finally, an ebook reader that was small, thin, and had a touch screen.

I'm just dipping my toe in the water at this point, checked out my first library ebook, downloaded a couple from Gutenberg. Still love paper books, but I can see the attraction here. Hope I'm not contributing to the death knell of book stores.

Now to try to figure out how Calibre lets you group books into folders ...

Welcome! It's not an either/or situation. Reading eBooks is not a vow to stop reading print books!

Personally, I think that the internet stores are killing the local book shops, not eBooks.

Welcome to Mobileread.

The first (and later) public domain book downloads are free, and you can quit any time you want.

But why would you want to?

Good to have your company, Twitchy. You've laid hands on some superb hardware with Sony. But their software leaves a great deal to be desired. Calibre and Sony is a marriage made in heaven. Luck and best wishes. Neil
