Devon Newbie

Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie from South Devon, UK & an avid reader, mainly of biographies, history & other factual events. Looking forward to getting some help with my problems with using Calibre.

Kind regards,

John.

I have heard from people using ipads as book readers, my own parents among them. They all tell me its rather ackward as a book reader however its great fro other applications. Whats' your oppinion? Do you have to pay more for electronic books for your ipad then you otherwise would in paper form? How much control does apple corp have over the books you buy for your ipad? RIM has abosolutely no control over the books that I read on my blackberry storm.

Hi JB,
The iPad is a bit more difficult as a book reader in that it is heavier than a Kindler or Sony for example. It is not so good in bright sunlight either, compared with those 2. At the moment, I can't compare prices because I'm borrowing from friends but this will soon come to an end.
Kind regards,
John.
