Kindle skipping pages
I have a .chm file I converted to .mobi using Calibre. When I read it on the Kindle, often times only the first page in a chapter is displayed, then when I click to move to the next page, it goes to the first page of the next chapter.
When I view the converted file using Calibre's e-book viewer, it displays properly. I tried converting it using MobiPocket Creator instead. I first converted to .htmlz using Calibre, then extracted the zip and used MobiPocket Creator to make a .prc file. The results look a bit different but the Kindle does the same thing, skipping pages in some chapters. It also sort of "locks up" for many seconds at a time when I try to move between pages sometimes. It seems to be having some problems with the converted file. So I'm not sure what else to try with this file to get it into a format my Kindle can display properly. If there are other tools that can produce better results with .chm files I'm willing to try them. I know a bit of scripting so even if I have to do some kind of pre-processing on the html file I can give that a go. I'm just not sure what else to do at this point. Any suggestions are welcome. |

That seems to have done the trick. Thanks much.
