Delete Books from Calibre on OS X?

Hi. I've searched through the Calibre user manual and these forums and cannot find how to do this.

I have just started playing around with Calibre so I'm a n00b. My immediate need is to delete a MOBI version of a screenplay that I have in pdf format and I can't find how to do that.

I saw a screenshot of the PC version of Calibre and I see the button to delete books clear as day but there is nothing like that on the OS X version from what I can see. (I cannot wait until I build my HTPC so I can do my hobbies on Windows again!)

So here are the details:
I have a pdf that I converted to MOBI but the conversion is awful since it's a screenplay and has special needs. I found a thread on this site where someone had written a CSS to help the conversion and wanted to try it out. But I already have a MOBI version of the pdf and I can't find a way to delete it. I did what seems to be a no-no and went into the Calibre Library directory and deleted it manually and tried the conversion with the CSS script and it looked the same. But I'm not sure that I actually created a new version or not since I've read about Calibre being able to restore old files etc. and I'm not sure it didn't restore the old conversion.

So in short I would just like to delete that MOBI so I can retry the conversion using the CSS.

And while I have you here... I copied the CSS into the "extra CSS" area of the "Look & Feel" section, that's correct, right? Is there a way - perhaps using the debugging log - that I can tell if the CSS actually did anything?

TIA for any help.

Looking forward to really learning how to use this thing but atm really need to find out if I can get screenplays converted to an acceptable MOBI output for the Kindle 3 (or any other reader for that matter, I have the K3 already but am trying to help a friend decide whether to get an ereader or just go with an ipad.)

If you want to delete a specific format from selected books then you can there is an option to do just that available on the down arrow at the right of the Remove books icon on the main toolbar or via the right-click menu in the main calibre books list.

You can also do it for a specific book via the Edit metadata dialog.

Aha! I would have never thought to right click on the title. That worked. Thanks!

As to the Remove icon... is it on the OS X version? I just don't see it... Oh geez... I didn't see that there are grey arrows indicating more icons "off screen" that I could scroll to. DOH!

Not sure why Calibre wouldn't just open up wide enough to show all of them, there was only that one that didn't fit. And of course it was the one I needed!

You can customise the Calibre toolbars and menus under Preferences. You can set both the icons you want to appear and also the order of them (to make sure the one you most commonly use are 'on-screen').
