Personalised Books

I write personalised books and have 20 versions of a soccer one. Can someone please set out in plain English the process I should be following in Calibre. I think I save the book in html, drag and drop into Calibre and from then on it goes haywire. I know I have to e-mail the finished article but have trouble finding it to attach to e-mail.
When I master this I will need to know how to create and attach a front page to each book.

We need a bit more information about what goes wrong to be able to hel.

At the point you add the HTML version of the book to Calibre it will then be stored as a ZIP file (so that any assocated files can be kept together with the HTML). I assume that you are getting that far, so what is it you then want help with?

Maybe I am trying to do something that Calibre isn´t designed to handle.

Calibre is not designed to do some of what you are after, it is not designed as a book editor, nor is it designed to manage multiple versions of the same ebook. There was a brief discussion on this thread of someone asking for something similar.

What you could do since Calibre is NOT an editor, is create your book with a 'empty' personalized.html file placed in the proper location.
Later you can use 'Tweak EPUB' to replace this file with one of the sme name that has the custom contents.
