Turn Off Welcome Screen?
Thanks for all those replies to my other thread on turning off the tablet side when eink side is in use.
I have had this unit now for a week and I love the damn thing. I have a painting/paperhanging business and it is my "office away from home." I brought it into a McDonalds at lunchtime this week and my red PE drew a small crowd of 3 under-21 kids wanting to know what it was. I didn't reckon on being this cool when I bought the thing ![]() Anyway, there is one thing I find unnecessary and a little annoying. When you come back from hibernation that welcome screen with the "unlock" pull tab and and "sound" tab would be a great thing to permanently bypass. Any tips for this? |

I think if you be sure to push "menu" instead of "home", just the e-ink screen will be active.
Or do you mean you want to bypass the unlock screen when you reopen the android side? I don't think that is possible. It's an "android thing". Kirk |

Did anyone ever figure out how to alter the static eInk screen, or the initialization screen graphic? It'd be fun to replace those!
I wasted quite a bit of time messing with the tablet side wallpaper before I realized the eDGe thinks it's in portrait mode and sizes the wallpaper in a square. |
