Howdy from the NorthEast
Lakes Region of New Hampshire, vacationland deluxe!! Getting busy this time of year!
Early adopter, Kindle version I, second batch (post Oprah buying frenzy.) Love the thing... live most of the year in a class A RV, so hauling around paper books isn't an option; this was a problem, until the Kindle! Got a whole library now, in one hand. I"m actually coming to prefer the Kindle to paper, for most reading. Have issues with how titles/authors are displayed; kinda jumbled and random, unless you do ALL your buying from a single source. That's why I'm here, looking for ways to neaten things up. Also, got tired of the "all in one box" approach taken by Amazon on their Customer Service Forum. Glad to meet y'all! |

Good to have your company, K. You thought of organising things using Calibre Library software (http://www.calibre-ebook.com). It's excellent and free unless you want to make a donation. Thousands of us here swear by it. Happy Kindling and best wishes. Neil

Welcome! And indeed as neilmarr suggests, do look into Calibre as fast as possible.
Your gripe with disorganized titles and such [I hate that too] can be easily solved with calibre. Not to mention about a zillion other things it can do. ![]() |

Hi All
Thanks for the replies; I've had Calibre for some time now. It does a wonderful job of organization on my PC, but not in the Kindle itself. I've been a little reluctant to allow it to re-do the Kindle; been using it for conversions and transfers, basically. How does one go about letting it rework the Kindle? A synch-type operation? |
