New to this Forum.

Good Morning....I am new to this site and fairly new to the world of e-readers. I was one of those who said I'd never stop reading "real" books, i'd never give up that tactile feeling of the pages rippling between my fingers and the smell of a new book when you first open it! Etc. Etc. I could go on, but for your sake, I won't. But then several months ago I moved out here to Arizona from Ohio and it was many hot long days of me packing up 15 cartons of books that were then unloaded out here in the heat that changed my mind. I'll keep a few old classics, but as there are no basements out here - I'm selling the rest and getting an E-Reader!

So...to make a long story longer, ha-ha. I looked at many different ones and researched them and finally decided on the Cruz Velocity E-Reader. Some things about it have made me happy but other things not so much, I just have not found it to be as user-friendly as I had hoped. My hubby is a computer ace / he can do anything...works as a Network Systems Administrator but I don't want to have to run to him all the time! So I just have not used it much. And with my birthday being tomorrow and my family being so sweet and giving me $$ I was thinking of going out and buying a Nook Color.

Thoughts? Can anyone give me comparisons? What can you tell me about your experiences with these products??

I appreciate any and all help!!!

Thanks~

Good to have your company, GS. And classics are the last things to hang onto. There are free downloads of tens of thousands all over the net (check Project Gutenberg). We even have many here (though better formatted than most because they're offered by generous members who take loving care over every line of text). You'll soon find you can throw away the space-snatching shelves and the cartons and carry your library (virtually) anywhere. Luck, happy e-reading and very best wishes. Neil
