Hello,
i'm new to the forum and I downloaded Calibre about one month ago. Since I have several (+- 1000) ebooks on my computer i started importing them. The problem was that the book names were not always in the same format. (e.g. Author - Series:Title) Books with this format in reversed order were all imported wrong. Is there a possibility to review all the imported books during import and to easely switch author and title (by the press of a single button or so). Hints or help would be appreciated, Stephane |

What I do is tell Calibre to add a TODO tag to book when they are added so it is easy to find them later for checking. You can specify any tags to be automatically added via Preferences->Import/Export->Adding Books where there is a field to specify the tags.
If you have a lot of books with Author/ Title switched you can then select all the ones that need changing and hit the Edit Metadata button. On the dialog box that comes up there is a checkbox for switching Author/Title over. I then do any additional tidying up of metadata and when I am happy I remove the TODO tag. |
