ALDIKO 2.0 removal of DB
Ok...imve searched and so tired of looking..lol
I removed all my books since i finally got my library updated with the metadata etc...anyhow i removed the 20 books on aldiko2 and it left behind tags and authors...i could delete all of them by hand but is there a way to delete them all at once..i was looking for the db so i could just delete it and have it remake it when i add another book. Th real issue is tags there has to be about 1000 tags entered...thats a lot of deletes.... Thanks, Jonathon |

You could try one of these 2 options:
* uninstall Aldiko and re-install it * go to the folder /data/data on your nookcolor. There you should see a folder with aldiko in it (usually in the form of com.something.aldiko). Remove the folder (rm -rf <folder>) If you go for option 2, it would not be a bad idea to make a copy of the folder first. |

I putzed around with this issue also and for me it was just easier to uninstall Aldiko and delete the ebooks folder, then reinstall Aldiko.
Aldiko needs a better library management system in my opinion. When you get to a large number of books (probably larger than most people would have) the import gets extremely, extremely slow. A live search (like the Nook's default library search) would be nice as well. |

Any luck anyone?
Uninstalling and reinstalling does not clear the tags, they're still there after reinstall. Uninstalling does remove the aldiko file from /data/data, so it seems there is another place they're stored. The tags are useless since I didn't clean them up and imported too many books the first time when trying to see how it handled lots of books - there are just too many tags!
Any ideas? |
