"Upload disabled"

I can't upload anything from my Edge to the web. Can you do anything about this?

BTW, the Edge shares this problem with most other Android devices.

What exactly are you trying to upload and where are you trying to upload it to?

Uploading to gmail is disabled. That can be rather frustrating.

The built in email client

The built in email client will add attachments from the edge, and works with Gmail. And Opera Mini 5 let me upload.

What and where doesn't matter. I've tried a number of sites and I can't upload to any of them.

Upload was fixed in Android 2.2, eDGe still use 1.6 and 2.1 will come in summer's update... so you'll need to use alternative solution instead of default browser.

did you have to adjust browser or gmail settings to enable uploads within gmail?
The default email uploads work fine, but gmail is still disabled.

I appreciate your time.

I am a new user of Pocket Edge. It is great I have find many useful information here.

I tried both "Opera Mini 5" and "skyfire".
The "Upload disabled" problem still found in "skyfire". The "Opera Mini 5" is OK, when I tried to send attachment within yahoo mail

Thank you very much

I am attending college online and my classes require I upload my assignments. Will I be able to accomplish this with the eDGE? I'm attending University of Phoenix.

I think that will depend on how your university network is set up - talk the the admins.

What I can say is that I have no trouble getting to our company network via FTP. Using File Expert I can map the parts of our network I'm authorised for and transfer files both to and from my eDGe without any problems. I assume you should be able to do the same on the university network.

I should add that I can get to our network via WiFi when I'm near and through the internet otherwise.

Although not exclusively, most of U of Phoenix's programs are online/distance education. So, I'm guessing JayRAudetteJr means that he has to upload to a website through a browser. I had this trouble when trying to upload to my online storage system (strongspace.com) and discovered it was the combination of Android 1.6 and the browsers I was trying. (native one and LastPass)

I'm having a hard time trying to get my head round the idea that you can submit coursework to a website (I was at university 50 years ago). Even if the front face is a website there must be some underlying structure to accept the submissions and that is what JayRAudetteJr needs to be able to get at - it is also much simpler to do.
