renaming PDF's in my library?
I noticed whenever I add a PDF to my library, the name that it's listed under in the library is not the name of the file. As an example, I moved a PDF with the name "Hesselmann2002.pdf" into my library, but the name of it in the library is an alpha-numeric string.
It appears that the library is reading some sort of metadata from the PDF. Is there a way to disable this? I'd like my PDF's referenced in my library by what I call them, not what the library decides to call them. |

You cannot control it. However, if you tap-and-hold the PDF in the Library and pick "Info" and then "Edit", you can change the title to whatever you want.

It is very easy to make the name whatever you want with the "Properties" menu item in Adobe Acrobat, where you can set many properties of the file, including the name that that the eDGe displays.

Alternatively, you can use the program from http://www.becyhome.de/becypdfmetaed...iption_eng.htm to edit the titles before you save them to the eDGe. This is a nice option for those of us who don't have Adobe Acrobat.

And Dr. T, I'll try that program out-looks like a nice way to change the title without having to start up adobe ![]() |
