"Access to over 100 Kindle newspapers and magazines"
That is a first... as far as I can remember. Exciting stuff! I love this app.

You do realize you can read over 1500 newspapers on the eDGe on the eInk side thanks to the PressDisplay service (accessible via the Store app on the eDGe)...?

I've tried to transfer this version of the app from my Droid phone to the Edge via Astro backup/Dropbox, but for some reason Astro won't let me back up the app at all (it even shows up in red in the app manager). Has anyone else had this problem? Could anyone possibly make the app available somewhere?

I use appmanager to back up, occasionally an app backup will fail and Astro backs up the failed app fine. Maybe the reverse is true here.

Here you go: http://www.mediafire.com/?4or7i6bnoqzor36

I offloaded this in a bit of a rush with the emulator, not time to test. Let me know if there are any problems with it.

Works like a charm! Thanks OncTech

The Kindle Store offers a whole 39 magazines... (maybe these are only those available in Canada...).

lol. The app is now relabelled as "Amazon Kindle", which means it appears top of the application list

Magazine selection isn't very enticing, and PC Magazine shows as "not yet available". Less than 200 newspapers (compared to PressDisplay's 1,500), but it's easy to buy a single issue rather than a subscription (i.e., like buying it at the newstand), especially with the one-click pay.

Newspaper format is the same EPUB-like format as used by most other newspaper providers (like PressDisplay), but the colour is nice, as is the ability to navigate with fingerswipes instead of the stylus.

Thanks!

I agree the selection isn't that great-and PressDisplay definitely has more newspapers (including Gazeta Wyborcza!) But through Kindle I can get The New Yorker and Atlantic Monthly, which as far as I can tell aren't available anyplace else.
