how to delete extra books

i goofed up, i hit an icon on the reader side three different times & now i have three copies of the user guide besides the original. i can't seem to figure out how to delete them. also would you know if the book romeo & juliet and a thousand leagues are readable books that came on the pocket edge. boy there's alot to learn!!. i signed up for the webinar, maybe i'll learn some things. yours truly Goldy319.

Are they showing up in your library or elsewhere on the edge? Usually, there are two ways to delete things depending on where they're found. You can long-press the book and slide your finger over to "delete". The other option is to look for a check box in the upper right portion of the screen. Tap that, and unchecked boxes will appear on each book. Check the ones you want to delete, and click "Delete" at the bottom.

Did you hit the "Save" or "Save as PDF" by any chance? Use the "Storage" application and go to "Internal Storage" or "SD Card" (depending on what you chose when you saved, otherwise try both locations). In "Internal Storage" you'll find the PDFs in the "Public" folder. On the SD Card, I think they'll be right there rather than in a subfolder. To delete, follow Dr. T's instructions.

Is the icon you mean perhaps the one the top: the books with the +sign? In that case you added the file again and again to the library. In that case follow the dog, (sorry, I mean Dr.T's instuctions). After you have done that you can read the helpfile again and see what the icons are there for. Nice to read!

DrT, yahoo!! i deleted them, perfect directions. thank you so much, borisb i didn't use a sd card yet, i did what sjarrel said, i hit the plus sign on top of the reader. i was trying to get back to the screen that has the arrows on the bottom of the reader because i couldn't get back to it & no icons on the bottom worked when i hit them with the stylus. i guess you can't just hit things w/o knowing what they do! my bad. thank you all for your help. i absolutely love & appreciate this forum. you people are AWESOME

how do i delete an icon. Once I uninstall an app, the icon remains on the screen.

Hold your finger on the icon until it expands slightly, then drag it down to the "X" near the bottom of the LCD screen, which will glow red, then release your finger.
