Can not buy an ebook from Edge Store in the Netherlands?

Hello all,

I just spotted an interesting ebook. I made a purchase in the Entourage Edge Store, but could not proceed to check out because of the fact that a billing adress could not be submitted outside USA and Canada? At what date does Entourage Edge wants to make a lot of international money

I (living in The Netherlands as well) had the same experience. I asked Entourage why it is not possible and they said that they are not allowed to sell ebooks outside the USA and Canada. They also said that they are trying to make it possible in the future.

Instead, go to any ebook store that sells book in Adobe Digital Editions/Adobe Reader format. Use the Adobe Digital Editions software (free from the Adobe website) to download the book to your PC. Then go into the My Documents - My Digital Editions folder and transfer (by file or email) the PDF/EPUB file to your eDGe and Add to Library.

To keep things smooth, you should use the same email address and password in ebook stores (and in Adobe) as you used to register your eDGe so that your ebooks are easily transferrable.

I don't get it. most of the books, if not all, are also available at other stores. why don't you buy it somewhere else? there are enough websites to buy books....
or is it a special Entourage book.

When I wrote that email I had trouble buying books from other stores, so I tried Entourage. Now the other troubles are solved and there's no problem any more.

Glad your immediate problem is resolved. Hubby had trouble buying an ebook from Barnes & Noble while we happened to be in Europe last month. Global economy my a$$. (Haven't tested the board's language filters in a while...)
