I did a cursory search for books in several courses, such as history, biology, economics, and Dutch. None of the couple dozen books I searched for was in the enTourage catalog. The books were published by the likes of Oxford, Penguin, Signet Classics, and a host of university presses.

Isn't it possible to just buy the books elsewhere, then use them on the eDGe?

Could you PM me the names of the Penguin and Oxford books? We have contracts with those publishers and we need to make sure there isn't anything wrong with the feeds...

PEARSON books are coming, contracts with publishers can be quite difficult and overwhelmingly long somtimes

I was wondering if there were only certain subjects from certain publishers in the enTourage catalog, since I know I've seen Oxford and Penguin books in the catalog. This might explain it. I'll make a list of them and PM it to you.

Yes. The eDGe's eInk can display PDF or ePub books (so it won't run Kindle, except on the LCD with the Kindle for Android app). Just be sure that anything you buy that uses Adobe's DRM is the same Adobe account as the one that you registered your eDGe with.

Great thread borisb!

Here are some of the books I need that are not available through the e-textbook catalog:

From Wiley:
http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyT...HEP001602.html

From Pearson:
http://www.pearsonhighered.com/product?ISBN=0136114997

Thanks!!!

With textbooks it's usually different, so be aware. Most textbooks "purchased" for use on a PC or MAC are really just rented for a term of 180 to 360 days and need proprietary software to open. Most seem to come as .spdf, which the edge would not be able to open. The books on the entourage site are different, same time restrictions, but you can read on the edge.

Snow will probably respond that the 5th edition, published in June 2010, should be there, too; maybe it's simply a data feed delay from the publisher.

As previously posted, Pearson books are coming
Yepp, I saw the 2nd edition as well. =) But I hope the 5th edition gets posted soon. If not, I'm going to have to buy the hardcover copy of these textbooks. X_X

Looking forward to the pearson books as well. =D
