Yea, there's a button on the e-ink screen in the top right that looks like a pen writing on a piece of paper. This puts the e-ink in "annotator" mode, and in that mode you are able to write on the pdf. I couldn't get annotator mode to work while viewing the eDGe help manual though.

I have been able to highlight parts of the help manual but I have been unable to erase the highlighting. Has anyone else figured out how to undo highlighting?

Erase

Theoretically the eraser is supposed to, but I am having the same problem removing those highlights. I did have better luck going to the markups in the library and deleting them from there.

Sometimes when you erase a highlight, the e-ink won't refresh correctly and show the highlight as removed. the manual "refresh" button is your friend.

Just got my 'Edge' yesterday.......
Its good device. Currently I am going through the learning curve.

Few Issues

1. When I want to highlight any text ............... it never highlights a word or a line but automatically 3-5 lines. Usually 2-3 preceding the word or line I want to highlight. How can I fix that?

2. I read something about switching on the auto-smoothing function to improve the journal writing............... how do we do that?

3. Is there a way to display the whole page from the e-ink side on to the lcd display?

4. How can I open a lib pdf document in the 'pdf to go' rather than e ink side? It always automatically opens it on e ink.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

thx

Another way to highlight on the pdfs that act funny is to use the paintbrush in the annotator. The paintbrush default seems to be 1, which is opaque, but if you change it to 0.5 or less it works very nicely to highlight. The only downside is that it creates extra entries in the toc (but that's minor).
