I know next to nothing about Sony readers, mind letting me know if this is a good deal?

That is the older PRS-300 5in model from 2009 without Touchscreen or pearl screen. If those matter to you...
Of more impact, it only has 512 MB storage and no wireless or SD so it is very much a PC USB peripheral. It *is* very portable and it bears the Sony logo which seems to matter to some
Here is a good review:

For a Sony that is fair price for a refurb.

In absolute terms how good a deal it is depends on your willingness to go higher; the newer PRS-350 has been seen at US$109 and the 6in Kobo wireless runs $99.
Or if eink isn't a requirement, the Aluratek Libre with 5in LCD screen and SD expandability has been seen at $49 after a $20 rebate.

Of course YMMV, but I did want to offer up that I have this reader (PRS-300), and I actually prefer this non-touch, smaller profile approach.

I use the e-reader mostly for reading mysteries and other fiction, which is mostly page turns, and I have found that I prefer the button for page turns vs. having to touch or swipe the screen every time. I also like the smaller profile, which I find easier to hold, and which fits in my small backpack/purse a lot better. Keep in mind that these are just my preferences, with my sole data point for comparison being when I once borrowed a friend's larger touch version (the old PRS-600) to read a book she had on it that I didn't want to buy.

If I were trying to read textbooks, or even some non-fiction with lots of pictures or graphs, I might come to a different conclusion, and want the touch capability, or better navigational capabilities, or the ability to download something in realtime vs. waiting until the next time I'm at my PC. But for me, this works, and works well - I guess that's why they have lots of different models with different features at different price points.

This is a pretty good price for a refurbished Sony, and I do wish I could think of someone else to give one of these to, though - I've already given PRS-300's to my husband, son, father, and one girlfriend...sigh!
