Don't like the looks and I don't like the fact that it doesn't have any buttons for paging.

Somewhat backwards. I typically hold the reader with my right (dominant) hand, and work controls on the right side. Was what I liked doing with my N800, and what I still do with my 505. Keeps my left hand free for other things.

They're on both sides, just like the original.

I look forward to a 650 head-to-head comparison. Bezel looks a bit chunky but a two month battery life?! Quite a bit if that includes use of the IR touchscreen.

Check some of the other associated threads... looks like 2 months relates to not using it - 30 mins/day is not using it in my normal reading experience...

Bezel looks huge and the reader itself seems pretty thick-perhaps it's just the pictures. I think the Kobo looks much nicer myself.

Does anyone know what the ppi is on this thing? It looks like it has a 6 inch screen, which would likely put it into the dreaded 167 ppi camp, no better than kindle.

Same screen as the K3 and PRS650.

Pearl e-ink is the remarkably crisp, highly legible and readable in low and bright lights technology which provides superior reading comfort. It's the best e-ink there is ... and Kindle has it. And Sony x50 models. And now Nook Touch and Kobo Touch. Nothing "dreaded" about that ... it's a significant improvement, in fact. |
