receiveing News

I have set up my calibre to send the BBC news to my Kindle, however I obviously haven't set it up right.

When I receive it on the Kindle I also get a message from Amazon saying that it couldn't be delivered by Whispernet as exceeds my 'Maximum Charge' (which I have set to£0.00) so it has been sent direct to my @feee.kindle.com account.

I am quite happy to receive it this way but don't want to get the Amazon message each time. So what setting do I have to set in calibre

I think you will haveto tweak the kinde account settings. You have to switch off the notification option. Just my guess.

Anyone figured out how to turn this off? I don't see any setting for it on Amazon's "Manage Your Kindle" page. I guess I'll just set up an email rule to delete these (unnecessary) emails.

I think that you set the send email address to something like

mykindlename@kindle.com

Try:

mykindlename@free.kindle.com

Of course, replace mykindlename with the actual name.

Definitely send it to the free.kindle.com address. Also, my news file will only be delivered via WiFi. I get a message form Amazon saying the mail is there awaiting delivery via WiFi - at least this is how it seems to work for me here in Canada

Auto Send News?

Hi,

I am trying to figure out how to get Calibre to send daily news file to my @kindle.com address automatically but I can't find this option anywhere.

Can this be done?
