New Jetbook!

Just wanted to share my excitement. Got a brand new Jetbook (red) from an Amazon seller for $89.00! It arrived today and it looks great. Its charging up now, hopefully tonight I will get to play with it. I am happy to have the lighter thinner internal battery Jetbook, it even came with a case!

Congratulations!! This is great. I take it the price is good? Red is a nice color, too and the cover coming with it is a nice incentive.

How big is the screen? 6 or 5 inches?

The price is great! Its normally $179, though sometimes that goes on sale. the screen is 5". I considered a Sony 350 but when I saw this, for such a good price, I grabbed it, since I am already familiar with the product. (I wanted something smaller, thinner, lighter, than my Kindle, to carry when I go out). I like that it uses SD cards too.

Do you have a special book to start reading with it? Someone here once got a new reader and started reading "The passage" on it as he said it would be so fitting

I thought it was sweet to save up a special book to break your new reader in.

Come to think of it, why didn't I do it???? Hm.

Nah....I have all the Anne McCaffrey Pern books on an SD card, working my way through the series, so I'll just plug that in and keep reading! I won't even update the firmware until or unless I need the DRM accessibility.

Just had a look at Amazon for them, as I am not familiar with the Jetbooks. They are 100$ now but it says something about batteries. Is this a different device as yours?

This is the one I got. It is not the Lite, which takes AA batteries. This is an extremely good price. I think once this seller sells out, they won't have any more. Sheer speculation on my part.

Looks like they have white available, also.

Ok here's the catch....all the books are in Russian! I don't care, I don't want them anyway and deleted them all.

Honestly, I've never read the books that came with my JBL, and probably won't ever. At a quick glance they all looked like they were freely available, anyway.

Well, if you change your mind and decide you do want them, you can download them here in various languages, including English.

I spent the first two months of my JBL ownership reading nothing except what came with the device. A couple were books I had wanted to read for years!
