Just joined this site... I got a Kindle about two months ago and I've got close to 300 books on it so far with an average cost of about $0.50 per book thanks to Project Gutenberg and all the free books on Amazon! (I bought several of my favorite SF novels from Amazon and Baen, which drove the average cost up!)

I did have a few questions tho...

First, are the eBooks on here all public domain works that people have kindly uploaded? I searched for a few of my favorite SF/ fantasy authors and didn't see them, so I wondered what exactly is in all of those pages of E-books!

And second, how do other Kindle users organize their books? I now have over 100 SF/ fantasy novels in my "SF" collection, and over 100 novels in my "Classics" collection, but as I add books I'm thinking I may need smaller categories!!

Good to hae your company, Oddvision. Yup, the books in the MobileRead library are all classics and public domain. Much more lovingly and carefully prepared by generous members than most on the otherwise excellent PJ site. Happy Kindling and best wishes. Neil

For organizing books, you might try the excellent Calibre software available here on MR for free.

As mentioned you may find Calibre Forum ... useful as a Library Organiser ....
