Black or white frame?

I'm trying to decide which Kobo Touch I want to order and I was just wondering if it makes any difference to the perception of the page wether the frame is black or white. And please, no Michael Jackson jokes ;-)

It makes not the slightest difference. I have reading devices with white frames and black frames, and the screens are equally readable. Go with whatever you prefer.

I was wondering the same thing. I like the look of the white Kobos, but I have a black Kindle and after getting used to the black frame the white Kobos seem to reflect more light back to me when I look at them in the store. I am guessing that might lead to a bit more eye strain than the black frame.

If the reader is used outside in direct sunlight that might be an issue, but not indoors. There's been some suggestions that a black frame will visually make the e-ink screen look slightly whiter because of the contrast. Personally I think that if there's any difference at all, it's negligible. I haven't noticed it myself.

Doesn't really matter. I have a white Nook Classic & a Black Kindle3. And the white Nook doesn't show dirt...at least mine hasn't.

It looks like the white one has more choice of the quilted back colour, if that's a plus for you. My WiFi is in a black case, so I think the black looks best in it. (I don't see the back, ever)

I just got my Ipad2 for mere 7 (seven) hundreds escudos plus change. White, while I would have preferred it black which costs exactly the same exorbitant price.

Cheap it is not. Rather, it looks so beautifully expensive.

So classy. The black screen and the white frame. The back is aluminum with black inserts. A beauty.
