Hello
Hi all, I stumbled on this forum looking for info on ebook formats!
I have an old palm tungsten E that I still use. Its getting harder and harder to find ebooks in a format that will work with mine. I can use Mobipocket, ereader and stanza has worked. Pondering getting a new reader down the road once (if) the formats settle down! ![]() |

I don't know about formats settling down, polen. Have you used Calibre to convert from one format to another? If you still like your current reader you can always convert epubs (for instance) to mobipocket, as long as there's no DRM issue.
If you decide to buy new, there are lots of good choices out there (in here??) depending on what you want most -- library access, clear-looking screen, buying from your device . . . ![]() |

Good to have your company, Polens. Have you downloaded Calibre library software (http://www.calibre-ebook.com).? That will convert from one format to another for you as long as the book isn't padlocked by DRM software. A superb piece of free kit. Best wishes. Neil

Thank you all for the replies and nice welcome
![]() I have never heard of Calibre. I will check it out! Well I love my palm, but have never used any other so I may not know what I am missing. For me, I don't read hardly ever during the day, only at night for a bit before bed. Buying from my device isn't a want either since I have a nice office, nice pc ect.. I reread books often, so being able to access my library is nice. Anyways.. I will snoop around more and down load the Calibre software and learn more. Thanks again |
