ebooks and card suits?

i scanned the forums and just really wasn't sure where to post this -- went with the calibre forum because it deals with conversions. sorry if a mod needs to move it.

anyway -- what is the proper way to go about doing 'card suits' (spades, hearts, clubs, diamonds). I'm pretty sure the symbol font is available almost everywhere nowadays, correct? I don't mind if a couple rare ereaders display incorrectly as long as the major ones work.

any help would be appreciated, thank you.

Do you need just the symbols
HTML entities should work (works in ADE):

oh! i had no idea that there were html codes for them, thank you! That should work a charm.

It does work in Sigil Code View,
That is where I discovered it did work in the first place . Note: do NOT apply a font-family to the styles that apply until you get it to show in BV. Not alll font-families may have it available.
