Question Kindle book to epub ?
Purely out of interest, is it theoretically possible to convert a kindle book to epub, or similar - that might, say, go on a PRS650 - using Calibre ?

And how on earth would you go about it ?

Yes. I often purchase from Amazon, remove the DRM and use calibre to convert the DRM free book to ePub.

This forum isn't the place to learn about removing DRM from Amazon purchased books. Check out Apprentice Alf's Blog or Darkreversers New Blog comment section. Google is your friend in this search.

It is a lot easier to go from ePub to Mobipocket then to go from Mobipocket to ePub. In a lot of cases, the code behind the Mobipocket eBook can be a real mess. Especially older ones pre-ePub.
