0.7.5.7 - Not Downloading Any Metadata

I am receiving the following error when trying to download metadata for new books, could there be a problem with my setup?

Based on the error you're running the beta code config tweak. While someone else may have some queries while trying to track down the bug, the simplest fix is to switch the code back to non-beta. Go into preferences -> Tweaks -> Plugin Tweaks, and change the test_eight_code option to False. Then re-start.

That is a bug, you can work around it by turning on HTML comments again in the metadata download preferences. Will be fixed next week.
