What changes to Nook design would you like?

I would like:

a micro USB end that slid in easier. I am always having to put on my glasses to home it in.

I would like the micro USB slot on the side of the Nook, not on the bottom and I want to be able to read it WHILE it is charging. You can do that on most other pieces of equipment, why not the Nook? With the slot on the bottom, it is in the way when I stand the Nook on its edge.

I would like a button on the lower righthand side so I can forward pages without swiping just so I have a choice in page turning abilities.

Cheers
Kym

You CAN read it when it's charging! If you're connected to the computer, go to your file explorer, rght click on both drives that are the Nook (main and SD-card) and choose eject, and you can use you reader. I fin I have to do it that way, and not use "eject" in Calibre.

I would like to see it get a bit less bulky.

This is a software issue, but I would like to have the page turning button user defined, meaning easy way to decide their functions. (Yes, I know it can be done in a rooted piece, but I said "easy way"!)

You do realize that you can also "turn pages" by simply tapping on the right (or left) side of the screen? A short tap on the right side will go to the next page, while a tap on left will go to the previous page. I agree that "swiping" gets tedious after a while.

Oops, I realize now we're talking about different Nooks. I'm talking about the classic, the two of you about Color, right?!
Well, doesn't change my opinion though...

NOOKCOLOR

Page turning button on right side (lefties can manage with it I'm sure)

Screen ap slider for the sound.

Option to turn on the Nook by double click or holding down the N button for say 3 seconds so you don't have to slide the NC symbol

Ability to put a better dictionary and Thesaurus on that can be set up to type in a word or use a highlighted word from the screen.

More control over where you can place book or other file icons on main screen.

This is why I rooted my NC - Aldiko (which supports all my B&N books even the protected ones) lets me use the volume buttons for page turning.

(Kindle for Android does, too.)

Much as I love my Nook Color (I've read four books on it in the last three days), I really don't like the stock reading app.

Better/Easier library management.

I was so excited when they implemented the "shelves" only to be SO disappointed to learn that you can't manage your shelves on the online B&N site, and they don't sync across devices.

I have 200+ books on my B&N account - I'm not going to shelve all those individually in the bulky Nook Classic interface.
