Best size microsd card - to buy in Florida

I am thinking of using a microsd card to boot from initially. Can someone give me some info on what size is needed ie: 4, 8, 16 gb. I don't want to spend to much so only want what is necessary. Also how can I ensure what I buy is fast enough to not lag in performance?

Any suggested brands models especially if on sale would be appreciated.

Currently vacationing in Clearwater Fl area if anyone knows of a local shop with excellent or sale prices

If you are doing autonooter, any size or speed works. The sd is used for rooting and then
it can be reformatted for other uses. I have used sandisk and lexar (from Target) with no problems.

I run froyo from the sd card so need a level 6 card for speed.

I guess I am confused, I was under the impression that you could use the sd card which would boot whatever you are using. If you reformat doesn't that imply you are changing the nooks internal software from stock to whatever? My msg should have been more specific in that I want to run from the card not change my NC.

What is a level 6 card can you give me an example?

Yes, you can boot and run Android from an SD card, while leaving the Nook's own system completely stock.

The Class level just refers to the sustained write speed capability of an SD card. Class 6 = 6 MB/s.
