Extra spaces in Sigil
Hi, all. I seem to be having the same problem. Rather than continue a thread from 2009, I thought I'd start a new one--I hope that's correct etiquette.
I've read the forums a bit. I don't know what Tidy is, but what I've documented happens solely within the Sigil environment. When I use Sigil to find the extra space and replace it with nothing, the change is not reflected in code view. However, when I try to replace again, it says the search term can't be found--and suddenly the code view updates to what it was supposed to be after the previous replace. Here are some screenshots of the sequence. I'll email the epub if needed. Thanks! - - - Last edited by noteon; 04-08-2011 at 02:43 PM. Reason: Removed link to epub |

Code view sometimes only updates when you CLOSE the S & R. box.
You might also try a REGEX search Instead of a simple space, use \s (single white space). |
